Your videos and local files.
The desktop tracer processes selected videos, project information, previews and exports on your computer. Its normal tracer workflow does not require uploading footage to our website.
Files you choose to send for support, or share through another application or storage service, are separate from that local workflow. Send only what is needed to explain a problem. The app stores activation information locally, including your license key, a randomly generated device identifier and signed export authorization.
Licensing and purchases.
Activation and license checks send your license key and random device identifier to our licensing service. Activation also sends a device name and platform; later checks use the activation’s instance identifier. These requests do not include video files.
Our service receives purchase and license information from Lemon Squeezy, including customer name and email, customer/order/license identifiers, payment or refund status, license status and expiry information. It stores a hash of the license key, device and activation identifiers, device name and platform, last-check timestamps, and access or device-release status. A hash is not a guarantee that information is anonymous.
The service handles your key when communicating with Lemon Squeezy to validate, activate or deactivate a license. It keeps event and administrative audit records for reconciliation and support, including action times and reasons for access changes.
Payment details are entered with Lemon Squeezy. EasyTracer’s checkout and licensing database do not collect your full payment-card number. Lemon Squeezy’s privacy policy describes its payment and other data practices.
Website traffic, cookies and providers.
Cloudflare hosts the website and licensing service and stores their application records. Requests pass through its network, which processes connection and request information such as IP addresses for delivery and security. Our rate-limiting records use hashes of IP addresses and license keys, request counters and time windows.
Cloudflare Access protects owner administration and uses sign-in cookies and identity information for that purpose. It is not a customer account requirement. Cloudflare may also use security cookies on public requests depending on the protection applied. See its privacy policy and cookie information.
The desktop interface uses a separate local session cookie to communicate with its service on your computer. Support email contains the message and any information or attachments you choose to provide. Incoming mail to lc@teamcole.com is handled by Google.
Why records are used.
We use these records to provide activation and exports, enforce device limits, reconcile payments and refunds, troubleshoot problems, respond to support requests, and protect the service from abuse. Cloudflare and Lemon Squeezy process information as part of providing their respective services.
Records and your choices.
Deactivating a device, uninstalling the app or receiving a refund does not automatically erase purchase, licensing, audit or support records. Records may also exist in backups and provider systems. Local project and video files remain under your control.
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with your purchase. Include your purchase email and order number, not your full key or payment-card details. We review requests manually and use your purchase email and order number to verify your identity; we may request additional information if needed. We review the associated records, delete information that is no longer needed, and document the reason for any records retained for purchases, fraud prevention or legal obligations. Applicable rights and any records we must retain depend on the relevant law and the purpose of the records. Deleting information required for licensing can affect our ability to provide activation or support.
